Choose Fish More Than Meat

 Choose Fish More Than Meat

Did you know that eating fish has many benefits? The fish is low in calories and cholesterol. Fish is rich in protein, vitamins and minerals compared to pork and beef. In addition, fish, especially sardines, mackerel, tilapia and salmon, are rich in omega-3 fatty acids.

Eating fish can help prevent many diseases such as:

1. Asthma - Children who love fish are less likely to have asthma.

2. For the brain and eyes - Fish is rich in omega-3 fatty acids that are good for our brain and retina.

3. Cancer - Omega-3 fatty acids help prevent many cancers such as breast, ovarian, prostate, oral and throat cancers.

4. Heart disease and diabetes - According to the American Heart Association, eating fish 3 times a week reduces heart disease, nerve blockage and high cholesterol. Fish is really for the heart. Diabetics' blood sugar is also more controlled. Replace healthy fish fat with bad pork and beef fat.

5. Dementia - To prevent Alzheimer’s disease, eat fish. If children want to be smart, eat fish too.

6. Sadness - Fish eaters are less depressed, also due to the very nutritious omega-3 fatty acids.

7. Arthritis and psoriasis - Regular eating of fish reduces the symptoms of arthritis.

But there are also things to keep in mind when eating fish:

1. Beware of mercury contamination. There are fish that eat dirt and pollution in the sea that are harmful to our health. Mercury is bad for pregnant women and babies. Because of this, small fish that are less than 12 inches long (12 inches or 1 feet) are preferred.

2. Bad breath can occur when you eat fishy fish.

3. You can be thorny if you are not careful.

4. A word of caution: Beware of seafoods, especially mussels and oysters. There is very little to eat and we may see the red tide.

In general, there are still more benefits to eating fish compared to its risk. Eat fish for our health.
