Heart Disease and Chest Pain
Aa a heart specialist, I am consulted with various chest pains. In my opinion, 80% of chest pain has nothing to do with the heart. How do I know that the problem is NOT in the heart? The doctor predicts this by telling the patient how he or she feels.
If chest pain seems to pierce, it is not in the heart. If the pain is in the right side of the chest, neither is it in the heart. Pain usually comes from the muscles of the chest. You may be sleeping on a hard bed. Mister may have run. It may have taken a heavy toll and sprain the flesh. The solution here is just a break.
There are 2 more questions to assess if the pain comes from the heart. First, can you point a finger at the still-hurt chest? When the patient points to it, that is not the heart. Heart disease cannot be pointed by 1 finger.
Second, how long does your chest hurt? If the pain lasts less than a minute or less than 1 hour, the pain is definitely not in the heart. True heart disease lasts from 5 minutes to 15 minutes.
What exactly is heart disease? Chest pain is said to be severe and there seems to be a lump in the chest. The pain lasts only 5 to 15 minutes. The pain comes when you get tired, walk a long way or climb stairs.
Men, from 50 years of age and upward, often have heart disease. If you are obese, have diabetes, or have heart disease, there is a good chance that you may have a heart attack. In this situation, see a doctor.
But if you are still young, under the age of 30, especially if you are a woman, I am almost sure that the problem is not in the heart. Do not worry. Check with a heart specialist if necessary.
