If POTASSIUM is Low, Take a Tablet

If POTASSIUM is Low, Take a Tablet

Note:

Consult a doctor before taking a potassium tablet. The doctor will prescribe the right dose and type of medication if your potassium is low. This article is just my guide.

This is my advice that will definitely save lives. Because the number of deaths due to low potassium. It is a pity that lives can be saved just by taking a pill. The Doctor himself, was taken to the Emergency Room due to low potassium.

How to know:

It's simple. Have a laboratory test of Potassium in the blood. The normal result is from 3.6-5.5 meq / L. If your result is normal you will do nothing.

But if your result is less than 3.6, especially if it is less than 3.2 that is dangerous. If you have symptoms of weakness in the legs, numbness and abnormal heartbeat, that is even more dangerous.

Solution:

1. Potassium tablets should be taken. What is available now is KALIUM tablet or K-LYTE Tablet (inconsistent available at the pharmacy).

2. Take the pill 1 time or 2 times a day. That depends on the potassium content. If your potassium is always low, take potassium regularly.

3. Monitor the potassium level in the blood every month or more often depending on your symptoms. So that we know the right dose of potassium tablets for you.

4. Of course, you should see a doctor like a Nephrologist.

Note: Do not take potassium tablets lightly without a doctor's permission. It may be too much.

Question: Can bananas and fruits only increase potassium? Answer: NO.

According to the famous nephrologist, Dr. Elizabeth Montemayor, if potassium is really low, bananas, tomatoes, oranges and broccoli are no longer enough. This is just for help. But potassium tablets really need to increase potassium quickly.

Question: What is the cause of low potassium?

In the Philippines, there are people who actually lower their potassium spontaneously. The most common cause is excessive sweating, diarrhea and vomiting. There are many other reasons. So it is actually safer to have a laboratory test on potassium in the blood.
