Psoriasis Remedy
Psoriasis scales are like thick dandruff and evaporate on other parts of your body such as the knees, elbows, ribs and scalp.
Mild psoriasis may not affect you. But severe cases of psoriasis are painful, debilitating and can paralyze you. Psoriasis is not contagious. You cannot spread it to other parts of your body, or to other people by touching and touching your skin.
It can make you look and feel better:
1. Take a bath every day. Bathing daily helps to remove scales and can also soothe damaged skin. Use lukewarm water and mild soaps that add oil and fats to the skin (such as Dove soap). Add to bath oil, colloidal oatmeal or Epsom salts in water and soak for about 15 minutes.
2. Use a moisturizer. Dry the skin after bathing, and immediately apply an ointment-based moisturizer several times a day.
3. Wrap the affected part of the skin overnight. Apply an ointment-based moisturizer to your skin and wrap in plastic wrap overnight. In the morning, remove the wrap and wash to remove scales.
4. Slightly expose the skin to sunlight. Exposing the affected skin to the sun for a short period of time 3 times per week can help with psoriasis. But also do not be too sunny because it can trigger cracking or develop skin cancer.
5. Apply medicated cream or ointment. Over-the-counter creams or ointments containing hydrocortisone or salicylic acid may be applied to reduce irritation and scaling. If you have psoriasis on the scalp, try a medicated shampoo that contains coal tar.
6. Avoid things that can trigger psoriasis in you, such as stress, smoking and drinking alcohol.
