Diabetes: A Diet to Avoid Disease

Diabetes: A Diet to Avoid Disease

DID you know that diabetes is very serious and deadly? So if you have diabetes, try to control it. We can do this with proper diet. Here are the tips to keep in mind.

1. There is no "mild" in diabetes.

If you have diabetes, it means that 50 percent of your pancreatic cells are already affected. As a result, your blood sugar rises above the normal 105mg/dl.

2. Avoid sweets and fats.

According to Dr. Augusto Litonjua, says not all foods are forbidden in diabetes. Just reduce sugary and cholesterol-rich foods.

3. Refuse ice tea, soft drinks and cappuccino. Just water.

Did you know that drinking a glass of ice tea every day can increase your weight by one pound per week? A glass of soft drinks has seven cups of sugar. The sweetness is great! Friend, water is really the only true Zero calories.

4. Apples and pears are the dietary fruit.

Many people think that fruits are “all you can eat”. Wrong! Fruits such as mango, pineapple, grape, avocado and lychees are sweet and nutritious. Take it easy. If you like mangoes, just one cheek is enough for a meal. When it comes to grapes, your limit is only six pieces. Fruits that can be eaten are apples, pears and bananas. But, do not consume a select one!

5. One cup of rice and one plate can be served.

There are patients who no longer eat rice. This is not good. In the long run you will weaken and lose energy. When does our body also have carbohydrates for a balanced diet. The solution is to limit the amount of food. A plate of vegetables or vegetables, with one cup of rice is okay, right? Good luck in controlling your diabetes.
