Did you know that there are foods that are good for our teeth? Find out:

1. Water - Drinking water helps prevent tooth decay. Water can reduce the bacteria and sugar that stick to teeth. These bacteria and sugar cause tooth decay. So if you are snacking or eating candy or chocolate, make it a habit to drink water afterwards to wash off the sticky foods. If you do not have the opportunity to brush your teeth, rinsing with water can also be a great help in removing tooth decay.


2. Crispy vegetables and fruits - There are crunchy foods that can help with teeth, such as apples, pears, carrots, celery, cucumbers, and chili (green pepper and red pepper). When you eat it, saliva production increases, and this saliva helps to remove bacteria from the teeth. Crispy vegetables and fruits will also not get stuck in the middle of your teeth.


3. Cheese - There is a study that says that eating cheese hardens our teeth (enamel). It is possible that cheese calcium strengthens teeth. Cheese also fights the acidity of our mouth, where it scratches teeth.


4. Tea - According to a study from the University of Illinois, people who drink tea are less likely to have tooth decay than those who do not drink tea. Tea-a is estimated to counteract the mechanism of tooth decay.


5. Xylitol gum - Most people know that candy and chewing gum are bad for the teeth because of their sugar content. But there is a kind of chewing gum that is good for the teeth. Xylitol is a natural sweetener that bacteria cannot use. As a result, the number of bacteria dies and decreases.


In addition to these foods, we should brush 3 times a day. Also use dental floss and tongue cleaner to make sure your mouth is clean and your breath is good.
