Baby to Urinate Poorly?
Question: Is it normal for a baby to urinate poorly?
Answer: The doctor needs to see the baby who urinates poorly. It is possible that the baby is dehydrated due to the heat of the weather. The mother may not have enough milk if she breast-fed.
There are babies who are dehydrated and die. Especially if the baby has diarrhea or vomiting.
Signs of a dehydrated child are lethargy, poor urination, dry mouth, rapid breathing and diarrhea (in the baby).
Here are Doctor's tips:
1. Make breastfeeding more frequent. Practice exclusive breastfeeding for the first six months. Do not give water because breast milk is 80% watery. Can breast milk every hour.
2. For breastfed mothers, drink 10 glasses of water a day.
3. Eat healthy foods such as green vegetables and horseradish, to increase breast milk.
4. Teach the baby to breastfeed on the mother's 2 breasts. Persevere in breastfeeding.
5. When the mother has a job, breast milk can be collected and others can breastfeed. Try cup feeding (photo) of milk from the mother as well.
6. If breast milk is deficient, consult why the milk is weak and consult a trained breastfeeding counselor to help with breastfeeding problems.
7. Please consult your pediatrician if the baby has diarrhea. Take the baby to the doctor. The baby may need to be hospitalized and sued.
