Beware of Stroke

Beware of Stroke

In the country, stroke is the second leading cause of death. About 110 Filipinos die every day from stroke. People with age, high blood pressure, diabetes, and heart disease are more likely to have a stroke.

Two Types of Stroke:

Stroke is a disease in which the nerve is blocked in the brain (Medical term: Ischemic Stroke). Because our brain controls the movement of our body, the hand or foot of a person with a stroke often weakens. Other possible symptoms of a stroke include numbness, numbness, headache, and blurred vision.

There is also a second type of stroke in which the patient's brain bleeds due to a ruptured vein (Medical term: Hemorrhagic Stroke). Often this patient has high blood pressure.

Ways To Avoid Stroke:

1. Keep your blood pressure below 130 over 80. When your blood pressure is 140 over 90, or higher, it means you have high blood pressure and need to see a doctor.

2. If you have diabetes, keep fasting blood sugar below 120 mg / dL (6.7 mmol / L). Normal blood sugar level is 100 mg / dL (5.6 mmol / L) or less. Diabetes damages the nerves of our brain. Cure it.

3. Check your blood cholesterol levels and keep them at 200 mg / dL (5.2 mmol / L) or less. High cholesterol can cause blockage in the brain. Reduce the intake of fatty and greasy foods.

4. Do not fertilize. Find out the right weight and force it to reach.

5. Stop smoking. A cigarette stick contains 10-20 mg of nicotine which is bad for our nerves.

6. Limit or avoid drinking alcohol. A person who drinks too much alcohol has a higher chance of having a stroke and an accident.

7. Do not use drugs. Shabu is a major cause of stroke in adolescents.

8. Avoid air pollution. According to a study in Taiwan, more people get strokes when the air around them is dirty.

9. Avoid hot places. According to Professor Chun-Yuh Yang, when the weather is hot, many people have a stroke. Avoid the sun from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

10. Check up regularly with your doctor. Next, there is more advice to avoid stroke.
