Heart Attack: What is First Aid?

Heart Attack: What is First Aid?

How do you know if someone has a heart attack? A sign of a heart attack is the Levine’s sign where the fist is placed on the stomach. Also find out if the patient has previously had heart disease, high blood pressure or diabetes.

Here is what we do as a first aid in heart attack:

1. First of all, call the doctor and get the vehicle ready to take him to the hospital.

2. While waiting, give the patient enough air. Use a fan, electric fan or air con. What happens in a heart attack is the lack of oxygen in the patient's heart.

3. Have the patient sit in a comfortable chair or bed. His sitting needs to be high or about 45 degrees. Put a small pillow under the foot to make her more comfortable.

4. Loosen her dress and necktie. Let’s not pinch the vein in the neck.

5. Our goal is for the patient to relax. How to do it? Don't ask him a question. Just say rest. "We are the ones who fix the tasks and problems." You can close your eyes and just relax.

6. Tell the patient to breathe deeply and slowly, the so-called deep and slow breathing. It relaxes and lowers blood pressure.

7. If he has maintenance medicine on the heart, give it to him.

8. For a heart attack, first aid medicine should be given, Aspirin 325 mg tablets or Baby Aspirin or Aspilet 80 mg but two tablets should be given.

9. If you know how to take blood pressure, monitor his blood pressure. We are watching the sudden drop in blood pressure.

10. Of course, take the patient quickly to the Emergency Room of a large hospital. Because only doctors can tell if it is a heart attack or not.

For relatives, be proactive and use common sense. Study first aid to survive.
