Nail Fungal Infection prevention and treatment
Mumps is a fungal infection that usually occurs on the toes because the foot is trapped in the dark, hot and damp surroundings of the shoe.
It starts with small white or yellow spots on the toenails. Depending on the type of fungus, your nail may break out in color, thicken, become brittle. The surface of the nail becomes dull, and loses its luster.
Mumps is caused by excessive sweating, working in wet environments, wearing shoes for a long time and having diabetes.
To prevent nausea:
1. Avoid being too long or too short. Cut the nail straight.
2. Keep the foot always clean and dry. Dry the foot and between the toes, then take a bath.
3. Change socks frequently, especially if the foot is sweating profusely.
4. Take off your shoes occasionally every morning or after exercising.
5. Use anti-fungal sprays or powders on your shoes.
6. Do not cut the skin around the nail.
7. Avoid walking barefoot in dirty public areas such as swimming pools, showers and locker rooms.
You can try soaking in vinegar:
There is no solid evidence yet but according to some studies, vinegar can prevent the growth of germs. Soak the feet for 15 minutes in a mixture of 1 part vinegar and 2 parts warm water. If the skin is irritated try soaking 2 to 3 times per week or increase the amount of water to be mixed.
If your nail condition does not improve, consult a doctor or podiatrist.
