Proper Food for the Sick

Proper Food for the Sick

Do you know what food to give to the sick? If the patient has stomach acid or ulcer, follow these tips. For those who have a fever or dengue, we should also be careful not to irritate the stomach and it may scratch. Here are the safe foods:

Reduce or Avoid This Food:

1. Sour - Reduce drinking or eating lemon, pure orange or lemon juice and vinegar. It adds acid to the stomach.

2. Spicy - Avoid spicy because it can irritate the stomach.

3. Black foods such as bloody, posit ink and dark chocolate - For those with dengue, avoid dark foods because the stool will also be black and doctors will be confused if the patient's stomach bleeds.

4. Oily and fatty foods - Fat and fat slow down the movement of our intestines. As a result, the acid will last longer in our stomach.

5. Drink with Caffeine like coffee - Coffee increases the acidity in our stomach. Many patients with stomach upset recover when they stop drinking coffee. If you still want to drink, you can only drink up to a glass of coffee.

Good to Eat:

1. Porridge or am - Add salt and a little dish. The porridge is soft, easy to digest and still warm in the stomach. It contains carbohydrates that strengthen the body.

2. Stewed chicken - Chicken soup speeds up the recovery of the flu and cold. This is because it contains cysteine, a natural amino acid. Its broth is nutritious and also dilutes sputum.

3. Bananas - Bananas contain the ingredient "flavonoid leucocyanidin" which protects our stomach against ulcers. Bananas also contain potassium which is needed for normal heartbeat.

4. Rice and fish - Rice and fish are a good combination because it completes the protein the body needs. Also add rice to make it soft and easy to eat.

5. Drink plenty of water to lower the fever and avoid dehydration.

6. It is better for the sick to eat often but only sparingly. This is so that the stomach does not have difficulty digesting food.

Remember:

Relax, take the medicine and eat right. That is the secret to your speedy recovery
