1. Eat less food.
Numerous studies have shown that reducing calorie consumption prolongs life. According to dietary theory, eating less food (20% less) can reduce the amount of inflammation in the blood vessels and can reduce the amount of toxins in the body. Even in biblical times, fasting and abstinence from certain foods were encouraged.
2. Try the Mediterranean Diet.
The Mediterranean diet consists of vegetables, fruits, beans, nuts and olive oil. Fish and poultry are also eaten in moderation. Studies show that people who consume the Mediterranean diet can prevent heart disease and Alzheimers Disease. In fact, some experts consider it to be the most nutritious diet.
3. Choose healthy fats.
There are 2 types of fats: nutritious and unhealthy fats. Unhealthy fats (saturated fats and trans-fatty acids) cause heart disease. Saturated fats are found in butter, creams, and lard and beef fat. Trans fats are found in margarines and cooking oils and processed foods such as biscuits. Look at the label and try to reduce its intake. On the other hand, healthy fats are found in peanuts, avocados and fatty fish such as salmon, sardines, mackerel and tilapia. If you are a consumer, choose low-fat milk and low fat fillings. Remove visible fats before cooking.
4. Maintain dental hygiene.
Having gum disease is associated with heart disease and can in fact shorten life. It is believed that inflammation of the gums is also associated with inflammation of the arteries or veins in the heart. Oral infections can lead to dangerous infections of the heart valve. Brush your teeth 3 times a day. Use a tongue cleaner to remove bacteria on the tongue. And also floss every day.
