Enhance Hair and Proper Eating
Our hair shaft or hair itself is not alive so it cannot be repaired when damaged so it can take care of the hair.
So proper nutrition is for new growing hair.
1. Eat rich in vitamins B6, B12 and folate for the production of red blood cells which carry oxygen to the scalp cells and hair follicles.
2. Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine) is available in corn oil, olive oil, peanuts, cashews, almonds, soy, taho, tofu, soymilk, oatmeal, sweet potato, peanut butter and watermelon.
3. Vitamin B12 comes from eggs, cheese, milk, clams and oysters.
4. Folate comes from tofu, soy, spinach, garlic, horseradish, bean, corn and papaya.
5. Biotin is available in eggs, nuts, peanut butter, wheat bread and milk.
6. Protein from chicken, shrimp, pork, beef and soy is also needed.
7. Beta-carotene is for cell growth and is available in yellow and orange vegetables and fruits.
8. Zinc for tissue growth and repair of glands and hair follicles. It is obtained from pork, chicken, meat, milk, yogurt, nuts, oysters, crab, peanut butter and cashews.
9. Drink plenty of water to keep hair and scalp dry.
Extra Tips:
1. Cream rinse is for combing hair through combing because tangled hair easily falls out. Use a protein shampoo and conditioner. If you have dry hair, just use mild shampoo.
2. Do not massage the scalp vigorously as hair may be pulled out.
3. Brush gently especially when the hair is wet because the hair is fragile when wet. Proper combing is from front to back.
4. Avoid always hot hair such as blow drying and heat of the sun.
5. If possible avoid strong chemicals such as swimming pool chemicals, bleaching, curling and straightening. Only occasionally if desired.
6. When shampooing, wet and rinse the hair well. Gently dry the hair with a towel so as not to break the hair strands.
