Broccoli and Cauliflower Against Cancer

Broccoli and Cauliflower Against Cancer

Broccoli and cauliflower are considered by experts to be the healthiest vegetables.

According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, broccoli is richer in vitamin C than orange. Broccoli has as much calcium in a glass of milk. Broccoli branches have 3 times the fiber compared to a piece of wheat bread.

Here are the diseases that broccoli and cauliflower can help:

1. For women.

Broccoli contains the chemical sulforaphane which helps prevent breast cancer. Sulforaphane inhibits an estrogen metabolite associated with breast cancer. Broccoli contains folic acid which the baby needs in the womb. It also contains calcium which helps prevent osteoporosis.

2. To fight cancer.

Sulforaphane multiplies a cell called ‘helper T-cells.’ It helps our liver remove the feces we breathe such as cigarette smoke, car smoke, and drugs and alcohol. According to studies in Tokyo and Singapore, broccoli and cauliflower can help prevent skin cancer and lung cancer. In fact, according to the World Cancer Research Fund, 206 studies have shown that broccoli and cauliflower prevent cancer of the mouth, throat, breast, stomach, lungs, pancreas and intestines.

3. For high cholesterol.

The fiber contained in broccoli can help lower blood cholesterol and we can say it can cleanse our intestines.

4. To lose weight.

Vegetables are not fat compared to meat and sweet foods. One cup of broccoli or cauliflower contains only 46 calories. If you want to lose weight, eat lots of vegetables to get full right away.

5. To strengthen the body.

Broccoli has many antioxidants (disease-resistant) such as beta-carotene, vitamin C and glutathione. Some experts say that natural vegetable glutathione is more effective because it helps our liver remove harmful chemicals such as lead and mercury.

In addition to the diseases mentioned, eating broccoli and cauliflower is also estimated to benefit Alzheimer’s disease, diabetes, heart disease and arthritis.
