With age, almost everyone develops osteoarthritis. Osteoarthritis is inflammation of the cartilage or bone marrow at the end of the bones because they are worn out, so it is painful and swollen from friction or movement.

The cause of osteoarthritis can be heredity, previous injury or injury, overwork and age. When you are fat or heavy, the bones in the back and knees will stick together due to the weight of the body.

Rheumatoid Arthritis:

Rheumatoid arthritis is a disease of the immune system so the lining of the joints becomes swollen.

What to eat when you have osteoarthritis or rheumatoid arthritis are foods that are anti-inflammatory such as foods rich in omega-3 fatty acids such as herring, anchovies, oysters.

Also eat antioxidants or rich in vitamin C such as papaya, lime, grapefruit, cabbage, tomato, guava, mango, green pepper (bell pepper) and turnip.

Eat beta-carotene or vitamin A such as yellow vegetables and fruits, sweet potatoes, mangoes, papayas, and pumpkins.

Also add foods that contain vitamin D to strengthen bones such as yolk, oysters, sardines, herring, soy milk and mushrooms.
